There's a FREE community ice skating event happening this month in Vancouver

Summer has just given way to fall on the calendar, and with the new season comes great fun to be had, like at the monthly community ice skating events that will take place from September to February at the PNE in Vancouver.

Summer has just given way to fall on the calendar, and with the new season comes great fun to be had, like at the monthly community ice skating events that will take place from September to February at the PNE in Vancouver.

The Community Skate Program takes place inside the Agrodome on the PNE grounds, and it happens on the last Sunday of each month, plus a bonus skate day on Family Day (February 18, 2019).

As a wonderful way to kick things off, the skating will be totally free on the first day, which is Sunday, September 30. The event takes place from 11 am to 2 pm, and it's important to note there are no skate rentals available, so bring your own skates and helmets.

A few more cautions: Children 12 and under are required to have a helmet and be accompanied by an adult. No hockey sticks, pucks, or ringette sticks allowed. Skate aids are available. Parking is available onsite.

  • September 30, 2018 – free!
  • October 28, 2018

  • December 30, 2018
  • January 27, 2019
  • February 18, 2019 (Family Day)
  • February 24, 2019

Community Skate Days at the PNE

When: The last Sunday of each month from September 2018 to February, 2019 plus Family Day

Where: PNE Agrodome - 2901 East Hastings Street, Vancouver

Cost: Adults (19+) $3; Senior (65+) and Youth (13-18) $2.50; Kids (3-12) $2; 2 and under free.
