The Vancouver Public Library is about to open its highly anticipated new rooftop and it looks breathtaking!

The beautiful offering will be available for public enjoyment this Saturday, September 29th at 10 am at the Central Library. Guests will have the opportunity to join Mayor Gregor Robertson as well as the Vancouver Public Library Board Chair Kyla Epstein with special guests to celebrate the opening.

In addition to opening the Central library's rooftop garden, they are also giving guided tours of the expanded top floors. Further, guests may explore VPL's new morph exhibition.

The rooftop will provide a whopping 40,000 square foot of additional space, which will also include 8,000 square feet of garden space. In addition, there will be an 80 seat auditorium,  as well as places to eat and drink. Of course, they will also include ample space for outdoor reading, too.

The celebration starts at 10am for approximately one hour, followed by tours of the Central Library to follow.
