Locals and visitors spending time in Coal Harbour’s picture-worthy Jack Poole Plaza are about to have a new coffee spot and wine bar to cozy up in for drinks and snacks.
LOT185 Café + Wine Bar will open their doors on Friday, September 28 in the Vancouver Convention Centre. The new day-to-night concept replaces the prior Coal Harbour Cafe.
The look and menu was inspired by European-style cafes that offer patrons the perfect beverages at any time of day, namely coffee during working hours and wine into the evening.
The food at LOT185 promises to be made using locally-sourced ingredients, and the in-house bakery will create fresh-baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and to-go items during the day.
In the evening, the menu shifts to tapas selections and Neapolitan-style pizzas, along with a British Columbia-centric menu of wine and craft beer, as well as the full coffee bar, using North Vancouver’s Moja Coffee.
LOT185 occupies two levels, and offers views of the Plaza, as well as seating for 80. The modern space was inspired by the local coastline, and a thoughtful fit in the Vancouver Convention Centre, which is the world’s first double LEED Platinum certified facility of its kind. The cafe is accessible from within the Centre and the outside.
To celebrate their opening, LOT185 will offer their first 185 customers on September 28 with a free 12oz coffee and fresh-baked blueberry lemon scone; a special welcome prize package and a chance to win a personalized lunch for four at a later date in the tasting room.
LOT185 Café + Wine Bar is located at 78 – 1055 Canada Place and will be open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 9 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 9 pm.
