The view from this epic B.C. hike looks almost too beautiful to be real. Without doubt, Garibaldi Lake is one of the most breathtaking bodies of water in the province, if not the world.

Known for its vibrant turquoise hue, this glacier-fed lake looks positively mesmerizing as it shimmers under the sun. What's more, it is located in the mountains, and therefore offers scenic views of the alpine summits.

Garibaldi Lake Hike

While the trail provides a seven six hour adventure, visitors may opt to keep things a little shorter and still see the majestic waters. The trail begins in the Rubble Creek parking lot, and from there it is a 6 km trek through the woods until you arrive at the lake.

Parts of the hike involve an upward climb, and therefore take some physical exertion. As such, it is considered an intermediate hike, and you should ensure that you are prepared beforehand.

For those looking to continue the hike after the lake, a left turn takes visitors through the beautiful Taylor Meadows. According to Evolution Whistler, if you make a complete hike it, "is 18 kilometres round trip, with an 810-metre elevation gain. It takes an average of 6 - 8 hours depending on your pace and the amount of time you spend at the lake."

Of course, to reach higher elevations to take a panoramic picture involves a much more lengthy trip that is difficult; however, the lake may be viewed from numerous lower elevations, as well.
