The City of Vancouver will be illuminated with dazzling lights this November during the Lumiere event.
The annual event returns to English Bay, Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza and Jim Deva Plaza, and promises to delight viewers with a series of interactive art installations. What's more, the event will host a disco in the Jim Deva Plaza on November 3 from 5 pm - 10:30 pm.
The sparkling event will showcase 17 displays, and each promises a breathtaking and interactive experience. For example, Luna, by MK Illumination, is a 7 metre long and 2.5 metre high orca that has a white powder-coated frame. He contains over 6,000 LED white environmentally friendly bulbs! He was named after the well-known orphaned orca whale that inhabited the waters of the Nootka Sound from 2001 to 2006.
