Fraser River Safari

The Fraser River is a whopping 850 miles long and is the largest producer of sockeye salmon in the world. What's more, the massive waterway is home to Canada's greatest population of sturgeons.

As such, the river attracts a number of fisherman every year; however, the waterway is home to a litany of animals, as well as beautiful shores.

Fraser River Safari Jet Boat Tours

Most of the tours are between three and five hours in length, and stop around every hour and 15 minutes for bathroom breaks. Further, these scenic, fully interpreted tours are perfect for people of all ages, and therefore children are welcome to join along in the fun while they learn about animals.

They typically depart from Mission, which is just over an hour's drive from downtown Vancouver. As such, the safari makes a perfect day-trip for families or groups who want to get out of the city and into the wild.

The tours offer wildlife viewing, history, culture and many fantastic photo opportunities, but there are also custom tours that offer other interesting activities.

Their Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival Tours, for example, take you into the Chehalis/Harrison Estuary and up close to the hundreds, even thousands of eagles that return each November.
