When KamloopsMatters popped by the Summit Drive store on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 24), there were at least 10 people in line.

The B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch says the River City location had 4,014 transactions in the first week of legalization, while online sales topped 17,723.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated online transactions were 17,266, a number provided by the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB). The LDB says it didn't include the online sales for the evening of Oct. 23 in its calculation; 17,723 is the correct number.
