While it is pretty standard to see a ferris wheel in various locations in the Lower Mainland, it is far less common to see one situated in Robson Square.

If you head there right now, however, you will see a colourful, 60 foot high wheel soaring in the heart of the city.

The event is put on by Variety – The Children’s Charity and it kicked off at noon. It goes until 7 pm this evening and all proceeds go towards helping kids with special needs. The event also offers food and live entertainment.

The organization hopes you’ll bring family and friends in order to help reach its goal of helping 60 kids per day. Further, they have delicious mini donuts and it is isn't raining!
