Organized by Chefs' Table Society of BC in collaboration with the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Association, Swine Out Vancouver pairs Vancouver chefs from acclaimed restaurants like St. Lawrence (recent fourth-place finisher on enRoute's prestigious Canada's Best New Restaurants list for 2018), Campagnolo, and Cinara with locally-brewed beers from breweries like Faculty, Brassneck, Main Street and more.

Attendees of Swine Out Vancouver will get to try the following porcine preparations:

  • Chef Colin Johnson, St Lawrence - Pork, Hazelnut, Prune & Armagnac Pâté en Croûte
  • Chef Dan McGee, Au Comptoir - Ham Hock Terrine, Fennel Relish
  • Chef Lucais Syme, Cinara - Smoked Ham, Rigatoni, Sabayon
  • Chef Robert Belcham, Campagnolo - ‘Hure of Pork’, Quince Mostarda
  • Chef Paul Finlay, Gudrun Tasting Room - Layered Pork and Apple Terrine
  • Chef Justin Cheung, Longtail Kitchen - Pork Farce, Bamboo Steamed Dumpling, Green Curry Broth
  • Chef Tim Evans, The Cascade Room - Crispy Pig’s Head Fritter ,Saskatoon Berry & Red Onion Chutney
  • Chef Allen Ingram, Home on the Range Organics - Smoked Ham Hock Terrine, Fermented Mustard, Brioche, Smoked Corn Salsa

During the course of the event, which takes place on November 19, guests will move from station to station, sampling the meaty eats, chatting with the chefs, and quenching thirst with brews from these participating spots in Mount Pleasant's Brewery Creek:

  • R&B Brewing Co.
  • Main Street Brewing Company
  • Brassneck Brewery
  • Red Truck Beer Company
  • Faculty Brewing Co.
  • Big Rock Brewery

For something sweet to finish things off, Chef Stephanie French from The Pie Shoppe will be on hand with an Apple Tart with Bacon & Caramel Jam--because dessert is obviously better with bacon.

Food (all 8 stations and dessert) and beer (all 6) samples are included with your ticket price. And you'll be eating your fill for a good cause; organizers say the event is in part a tribute to culinary icon Anthony Bourdain. Swine Out Vancouver will be donating a significant portion of the event's proceeds to The Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC.
