VIDEO: Man who lost it over Tim Hortons Iced Capp arrested, charged with assault

A man has been arrested in Powell River after he verbally attacked staff at a Tim Hortons in New Westminster and poured an Iced Capp on the counter. The incident took place on September 15, when 28-year-old Alan Sam Deguillaume complained that his drink was made incorrectly.

A man has been arrested in Powell River after he verbally attacked staff at a Tim Hortons in New Westminster and poured an Iced Capp on the counter.

The incident took place on September 15, when 28-year-old Alan Sam Deguillaume complained that his drink was made incorrectly. After pouring out his drink on the counter and verbally attacking staff, Deguillaume pushed the computer register off the counter, and kicked and punched another customer before fleeing the scene. The incident was captured on CCTV camera, and both video and still photos were shared with the public.

A B.C. wide warrant was issued for his arrest on October 11, and he was subsequently arrested on October 15 in Powell River.

Vancouver Is Awesome spoke to New Westminster RCMP Staff Sergeant Andrew Perry who explained that the suspect voluntarily turned himself into authorities. Following this, he was released on bail, but must follow a number of conditions.

For one, Deguillaume may not come within 20 meters of any Tim Hortons in the province. In addition, there are a number of people he is not permitted to contact.

Deguillaume  is charged with two counts of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000.

He will appear in court on November 21.
