Vancouver gas prices to dip 6 cents and reach lowest point since January

On Tuesday, November 13, petroleum analysts predicted that residents of the Lower Mainland would see a significant drop in gas prices later in the week.

In fact, Dan McTeague, a Senior Petroleum Analyst with GasBuddy.com, tweeted about the drop in pricing, stating that they would be the lowest since January 4.

Before this, however, he stated that Wednesday, November 14 would see a 1 cent rise at the pumps. Following this, he says that Thursday will see a 6 cent a litre drop, which would would make the, "highest prices at 138.9 cpl - the lowest since January 4."

As a result, he remarked that residents ought to, "wait until tomorrow to gas up."

Gas Prices

As of Thursday, March 22nd gas prices in the province broke a previous record from 2014, when they reached $1.559 per litre.

They broke records again in October, with a number of Lower Mainland stations showing as high as $163.9 cents per litre.
