Federal offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in Vancouver

A 34-year-old federal offender was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

Authorities in Vancouver are asking the public to be on the lookout for Tyler Gagnon. The 34-year-old federal offender is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

Vancouver Police issued an alert early Sunday morning regarding Gagnon, who is currently on parole for a five-year-nine-month sentence for robbery, assault, break-and-enter, possession of stolen property, mischief, theft of a motor vehicle, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Gagnon is described by the VPD as white, 5’9” tall, 190 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen Saturday, Nov.17 just before 7 pm, and at that time he was wearing dark jeans, black running shoes, a black top, a black jacket, and a grey baseball hat.

The VPD ask that if you see Gagnon, or have any information about his location, to please call 9-1-1 immediately.

UPDATE: The VPD report that Gagnon has been apprehended. Just before 4 pm Sunday, Vancouver Police observed Gagnon near West 4th Ave. and Vine St. and safely arrested him.
