A gold ring with a sizeable diamond – that appears to be an engagement ring – was turned in to police on Tuesday, after a homeowner in North Vancouver found the ring on their driveway.

Cpl. Richard De Jong, spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP, said the homeowner spied the twinkly jewelry while walking out the front door.

“It looks like there was a wedding band attached to it,” at one point, said De Jong. “It’s not costume jewelry.”

Police aren’t saying exactly where the ring was found.

Anyone who recognizes the ring as theirs can come to the front counter of the North Vancouver RCMP detachment and provide details.
