With the Metro Vancouver forecast calling for over a week of steady rainfall, many locals are dreaming of warm, fun getaway.

With that being said, not everyone can afford to spend the big bucks needed to go on a fancy-pants vacation to Tahiti. Luckily, WestJet Vacations has an incredible offer on a three night package to Las Vegas that includes direct return airfare from Vancouver at a steal. The package is based on a double occupancy, and the total comes to only $378 CAD per person including all taxes and fees.

The hotel is the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, which is located along the Las Vegas strip. It’s not right in the centre of the action, but you’re only a short walk, monorail ride, or taxi from some of the city’s hottest clubs, shopping, casinos, restaurants, and more.

The package departs on Monday, Dec 3 and returns to Vancouver on Thursday, Dec 6.

Discover Las Vegas

If you’re a thrill-seeker, or simply want to go on some fun rides, than the Stratosphere is perfect for you. For example, the “Big Shot” shoots you 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour and gives you a stunning perspective of the majestic Las Vegas Valley. What’s more, riders are strapped in on a 921 foot high platform and shoots them back up and down again.

For the really brave, there’s the “SkyJump” which sounds like a truly exhilarating experience.

“SkyJump is a heartpounding, scream-inducing, open-air leap from 829 feet above the neon Strip and holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent facility. You’ll zoom toward the landing pad at speeds topping 40 mph while the crowds below gasp and applaud your bravado. See SkyJumper videos in the image gallery above.”
