Transit Police ask for help identifying man who allegedly punched teen on SkyTrain

Transit Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in an alleged assault that took place on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Transit Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in an alleged assault that took place on Thursday, Oct. 4.

The incident took place at approximately 12:15 pm on board the SkyTrain as it ran from Moody Centre Station to Coquitlam Central Station. Apparently, the suspect believed that two teen boys were staring at him, which made him enraged. He then punched one of teens, bruising his eye. Following this, he tried to punch the other teen which made his  head slam into the wall of the SkyTrain.

One of the victims was fourteen and the other sixteen.

The suspect left the train at the Coquitlam Centre Station and is described as a Caucasian male with a slender build, black hair, and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black and grey hoodie, grey pants, runners, and dark sunglasses at the time of the assault.
