Earlier this morning the Vancouver weather forecast called for heavy winds and heavy rain. Now, some Metro Vancouver streets are flooded and cars are underwater.

A rainfall warning is currently in effect for the region, and it could see 40 to 60 mm of rainfall. What's more, the Vancouver weather forecast is calling for a long stretch of rainfall to follow.

A number of Twitter users shared images of the heavy flooding, and some of them show cars that are flooded well over the top of their tires.

While a number of warnings were issued for Metro Vancouver, multiple alerts have been issued for the province at large. For example, an intense Pacific frontal system will spread heavy snow on the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merrit tonight, too.
