Several BC Ferries sailings to and from Vancouver cancelled due to high winds

BC Ferries is cancelling several sailings due to strong wind conditions.

Sailings from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen have been cancelled at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Sailings from Tsawwassen have been cancelled at 11 a.m.. 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The Duke Point sailing to Tsawwassen was cancelled at 10:15 a.m. and is cancelled at 12:45 p.m. The 1 p.m. sailing from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay is also cancelled.

Environment Canada has issued wind warnings for much of Vancouver Island and the south coast, including Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Some areas could see winds of up to 100 kilometres an hour.
