New late night burger joint sliding into popular Kits daytime cafe

One of Vancouver's tastiest daytime coffee, pastry, and sandwich spots, Their There, in Kitsilano, is going to have a second identity come the nighttime soon.

One of Vancouver's tastiest daytime coffee, pastry, and sandwich spots, Their There, in Kitsilano, is going to have a second identity come the nighttime soon. Chef and owner Michael Robbins and GM Jeff Parr are launching Hundy, a burger joint, in what will now be a dual-concept space.

Hundy will operate from 5 pm until late on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with some occasional weeknight pop-ups. Their There--with their slammin' breakfast sammies and decadent and inventive pastries--will continue to operate in full swing during the daytime.

The burger spot is the third project for Robbins; he's also behind nearby high-end AnnaLena.

At Hundy, burger fans will find a patty made of a blend of beef brisket and shoulder from Two Rivers, with a signature bun and special sauce, of course. On the side will be double-cooked fries. The counter-service spot will also feature craft brews on the menu.

Robbins says: "Vancouver needs a new hang out with burgers as the main event. We want an updated burger concept that starts here at home with potential grow outwards."

The goal is to make Hundy a go-to staple for late night eats and hanging out.
