These week we wade into a somber topic on the V.I.A. podcast. The episode is not recommended for children under 14.
More than a decade after the Robert Pickton trial wrapped up, some families of the victims are still waiting to put the remains of their loved ones to rest. Glacier Media investigative reporter, Jeremy Hainsworth, shares the story he recently broke regarding how the remains were treated, and what might be done better next time around.
Hainsworth covered the original trial in 2007 and has followed it ever since. He discusses his work at Glacier, as well as the nuts and bolts of this particular story. Listen below or subscribe by searching “Vancouver Is Awesome” wherever you get your podcasts.
