U.S. News & World Report revealed a list of the best hotels in Canada and a Vancouver hotel claimed the top spot.
Known for its attentive staff, luxurious spa, and high-end restaurant, the Rosewood Hotel Georgia offers a posh stay in the heart of downtown Vancouver and placed first.
The company ranks the best hotels based on an analysis of industry awards, hotel star ratings and user ratings. What’s more, hotels that scored in the top 10 percentile earned a gold badge.
The description went on to comment how the Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s, “Recent visitors said the staff’s attention to detail makes guests feel like royalty.”
Moreover, it notes that the, “Hawksworth Restaurant features a formal atmosphere and a menu with locally inspired cuisine. But when just drinks will do, kick back at the 1927 Lobby Lounge, which borrows its name from the building’s original construction in 1927.”
The Clayoquot Wilderness Retreat stole the second spot on the ranking. Located near Tofino on Vancouver Island, the posh resort invites guests to experience “luxury gone wild.” Surrounded by lush, practically untouched rainforest, the breathtaking property is only accessible by boat from Tofino or by seaplane. In addition, the resort was recently named one of the best in the world.
Vancouver’s Wedgewood Hotel and Spa came third, and was noted for its impeccable service and proximity to Robson’s high-end shops. The Ritz-Carlton Montreal placed fourth, with the Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland, in fifth.

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii was named the best hotel in the the United States, while La Réserve Paris took the top spot in all of Europe.
