The Hot Spot at So. Low Foods in Kitsilano is all about spreading that hot sauce love with their insane inventory of savoury - and sometimes very spicy - sauces.

If the swag in your bag is an actual bottle of hot sauce, you will definitely want to know about this Vancouver shop that has over 200 flavours from mild to wild of the fiery stuff. The Hot Spot at So. Low Foods in Kitsilano is all about spreading that hot sauce love with their insane inventory of savoury - and sometimes very spicy - sauces.

The retail space aims to attract spice girls and boys from Vancouver or visitors to the city for picking up some new bottles of hot sauce, but they do also run an online store for Canadian customers.

The real perk to going in the Hot Spot, though, is their in-store tasting bar, where you can sample from their over 200 flavours. The owners are super passionate about hot sauce, and are happy to help tasters discover some bold new favourites. But fear not if you over-estimate your capacity for heat; they may have some ice cream on hand to help you cool down.

Their sauce inventory spans from mild to extra hot, and includes several Canadian and local brands, along with other kinds of hot sauce-adjacent condiments. If you happen to have a handful of heat-seeking friends, you can contact the shop to arrange a private tasting; they can accommodate up to 10 hot sauce fans at the tasting bar.
