Vancouver Park Board's massive Spring Tree Sale takes place this month

The Vancouver Park Board is hosting its second annual Spring Tree Sale this May for Vancouver residents as part of its urban forest strategy.

The Vancouver Park Board is hosting its second annual Spring Tree Sale this May for Vancouver residents as part of its urban forest strategy.

Residents may purchase $10 trees online through the Vancouver Recreation Online Activity Registration and then pick up their trees on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, a selection of unclaimed or unpurchased trees will be available for cash sale onsite on Sunday, May 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The sale offers 28 tree types which include everything from shade to flowering to fruit varieties.

If you aren't able to take part in the online sale you may visit a participating nursery, such as Figaro’s Garden, Hunter’s Garden Centre or Gardenworks, and get $20 off a tree valued at $50 or more.

Vancouver Park Board Spring Tree Sale

When: Saturday, May 11 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Sunday, May 12 | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Nat Bailey Stadium overflow parking lot

Cost: $10 per tree (Available to order online)

**Proof of Vancouver residency must be provided at the time of purchase to be eligible for a tree rebate**
