Take your love of hot dog to some truly haute heights at this one-day pop-up event that will team the mighty wiener with some spectacular bubbles.
In honour of Grower Champagne Month, on June 1 TWB – The Wine Bar will morph into The Wiener Bar for an evening of high-end hot dogs and beautiful French Champagnes.
The event is based on London’s Bubbledogs restaurant, which serves up – you guessed it – fancy hot dogs and sides with bubbles.
For The Wiener Bar, TWB will offer three specials, all available while supplies last, with each one served with a three-ounce pour of a carefully-selected Champagne for $30.
Here’s what TWB will be serving up:
- LE CHIEN CHAUD: Turkey wiener on a baguette with Dijon mustard paired with René Geoffroy Empreinte Brut 1er Cru ‘For Sacha’, 2009 Cumières, Champagne
- THE KRAUT: Nitrate-free Bavarian wiener with Keen’s Hot Mustard, sauerkraut, pickled onion paired with
Hubert Paulet Brut Rosé 1er Cru, 2006 Rilly, Champagne
- THE MAGA (we’re building a wall!): Smoked all-beef wiener, yellow mustard, house-made ketchup, Cheddar cheese sauce, onion paired with Lelarge-Pugeot Extra Brut 1er Cru, NV Vrigny, Champagne
