Situated in northern Italy, the region of Emilia Romagna is best known for its seaside landscape, medieval architecture and world-renowned gastronomy. You can get a taste of the region’s rich culinary history during this month’s Italian Heritage celebrations in Vancouver.
The main event will take the form of The Authentic Italian Table Buffet Dinner hosted by The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West (ICCBC) on June 4th at Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Downtown Vancouver.
This unique event will feature an open-bar buffet featuring premium Italian wine and aperitivi in addition to a mouth-watering selection of authentic Italian products flown in especially for this occasion. All tickets include full access to the open-bar and buffet dinner. The event sells out every year, so be sure to get your tickets quick!

The event’s 10+ food and drink stations will be operated by the city’s finest Italian restaurants, each of which will be serving premium delicacies, including Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Aceto Balsamico di Modena DOP/IGP, Mortadella di Bologna IGP, and Prosciutto di Parma DOP. The dinner will be accompanied by a fresh pasta making station while wine will be poured and presented by Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna.
The event will be structured as a tour of the food and wine excellences of Emilia Romagna, and fortunately for Vancouver, this dinner won’t be our only opportunity to sample the delicacies of the region this month.
The restaurants participating in the Authentic Italian Table will also be offering a special “Extraordinary Emilia Romagna” menu and pairing options from June 3rd to June 16th.
