From dazzling fireworks displays to electric live performances to delectable cuisine, there will be no shortage of things to enjoy this Canada Day in Vancouver.

Fort Langley National Historic Site
The Fort Langley National Historic Site will offer multicultural performances and activities in its site and historic buildings. There will also be cake as well as balloon animals. Performances and activities will include Bhangra Dancing, Métis jigging, a Renaissance Fencing Demonstration, and much more.

'Great Canadian BBQ' at the H2 Rotisserie & Bar
The H2 Rotisserie & Bar will offer a range of flame-grilled items, prepared inside and outdoors (weather permitting), to celebrate the big day. They will also have acoustic live musical performances throughout the afternoon.
The complete menu includes more than 25 choices, such as:
• house-made sushi rolls
• build-your-own grilled corn, featuring a variety of flavoured butters, spice mixes and aioli
• chicken, shrimp and vegetable skewers
• grilled Pacific salmon
• a build-your-own poutine bar
• garlic clams and mussels
• desserts including Nanaimo bars, butter tarts, a banana split bar
… and much more!
For an additional charge, guests can complement their meal with a custom Caesar from H2’s tableside cart. Garnishes include candied bacon, pickled beans and asparagus, bocconcini-and-tomato skewers, and more.

North Vancouver Canada Day Celebration
The North Vancouver Canada Day Celebration offers free, family-friendly fun from noon until 4 p.m. With the support of vendors and volunteers, the community-focused event is zero-waste. With an anticipated attendance of 15,000 people, it will feature a diverse number of local performers, musicians, multicultural food, family-oriented games, and displays from North Shore community organizations. There be free cupcakes, a climbing wall, bouncy castles, art workshops and much more.

Canada Day Ball Hockey Tournament
This Canada Day celebration offers fun in the sun as well as an exciting workout. The Ball Hockey Tournament is hosted by Timber Restaurant and benefits BASH (Britannia After School Hockey). Proceeds from participant entry fees go to support BASH, which is an inclusive after-school program for youth interested in playing ice hockey. The event includes five hours of scrimmage match-ups, skill-building exercises and an exciting finals game to crown the 2019 champions. Everyone is welcome to participate in the skills exercises offered between games three times throughout the afternoon at 12:40 p.m., 2:05 p.m., 3:45 p.m. Timber will also serve up their mouthwatering classic bison burgers
Players and the public are also encouraged to bring kid’s hockey equipment to the tournament where donations for the BASH program will be collected. The BASH program relies solely on fundraisers and donations.

Canada Day on Granville Island

Vancouver Convention Centre Open House
Experience a variety of family-friendly activities and displays and learn about history of the facility through ten years of bringing people together through meetings since the opening of the West building from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Free indoor family-friendly yoga with lululemon: lululemon will host two free indoor yoga sessions at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring mats; limited supply provided.
- Cooking with our culinary team: The Convention Centre’s award-winning culinary team will be doing live cooking demonstrations at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm
- Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the West building: Learn about the history of the building with a scavenger hunt called "Convention Quest" in the Exhibition Hall; get an airbrush tattoo; Visit the life-size ‘10’ and share your favourite memories.
- Green Scene: Learn about the Convention Centre’s comprehensive sustainability program while enjoying activities like our recycling game and more
- Picture Yourself! A photo station putss you in the centre of some of the special spaces such as the larger than life #VanConventions installation.
- Marine Connection: Learn about the Convention Centre’s thriving marine habitat and enjoy unique activities hosted by Ocean Wise, as well as a children’s arts and crafts.
- Cauldron Lighting: This majestic 2010 legacy will be re-lit from 12 pm to 2 pm to celebrate Canada’s birthday.
- Brew with a View: From 11 am to 11 pm, enjoy delicious, family-friendly fare and beautiful mountain and harbour views on the facility’s licensed Pacific Terrace, home to Douglas Coupland’s Digital Orca. Food and beverage, including ice-cold beer and cider, will be available for purchase.

Canada Day at Canada Place
As the largest Canada Day celebration in western Canada, the sprawling waterfront event offers food, live entertainment, family activities, displays, and much more. It covers five city blocks and includes the indoor and outdoor spaces at Canada Place, Jack Poole Plaza and the surrounding city streets. What’s more, the event welcomes over 250,000 visitors each year, and it is free to attend. The festivities kick off early at 9:30 a.m. with a traditional Citizenship Ceremony, which welcomes 60 new Canadians into the country. Following this, all zones and exhibits, including the main stage, open at 11 a.m.

Mamie Taylor's Canada Day Ribfest
Mamie Taylor's will have a Ribfest staring at 3 p.m. to celebrate. Guests should arrive early if they want to pick the top ribs.

CRAFT Beer Market Canada Day
Enjoy Canadian flavours and sounds over the long weekend with CRAFT Beer Market. They will offer East-to-West All Canadian Beer flights, caesar and poutine features, a live DJ on both Saturday and Sunday nights, and a local band covering the best and biggest hits from Canadian artists. CRAFT will also have Daily Happy Hour features from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close.

Canada Day Drumming
On Monday, July 1, be part of a Canada-wide attempt to set a brand new Guinness World Records™ title of: “Largest Group Drum Roll (Multiple Venues)”. The minimum required is 1,683 individual drummers, but the more the merrier. The performance will be broadcasted live across the participating Canadian cities and on social media platforms around the world.
No drumming experience is necessary, but you must attend a practice session beforehand. Pre-registration by midnight, June 28 is necessary.

Burnaby Village Museum Canada Day Party
Burnaby Village Museum will host the Official Canada Day celebrations in Burnaby on Monday. Visitors may enjoy the backdrop of its 1920s village streets, multi-cultural family entertainment including musicians, entertainers, displays & demonstrations.
