Another AWESOME outdoor movie happening this month in Vancouver!
Hosted by the Downtown Vancouver BIA (DVBIA) from July 3 to August 21, Summer Movie Nights is a unique opportunity for the city to come together to enjoy movies and popcorn like a big ol' family!
On July 29th the DVBIA will present a very special Monday night PRIDE screening of the critically acclaimed rock biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. The oscar winning film is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury.
The screening takes place Monday, July 29th at 9:05pm at the North Plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery (šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square) and will also feature some a-m-a-z-i-n-g pre-show activations, including a Public Disco pop-up with music by Diana Boss and drag performances by Shay Dior and Maiden China.
There will be a free sparkle station, a hooping zone and small vendor market featuring KiNG Of HeArTS CLotHiNG & The Glitter Dealer. The event is hosted by Houdini Cazimi of ShapeShifterStudio and Vancouver Street Dance Festival. Pre-show activations start at 5:00pm, there will also be food trucks and popcorn available throughout the evening.
