A clueless driver was captured on dashcam video trying to make a left turn into an area that had been partitioned off with signs and cones.
The video starts with the vehicle ahead driving beside numerous cones that are blocking off the left lane. Following this, the car clearly passes a 'no turn' sign and drifts into the intersection toward the blocked off street. Meanwhile, the dashcam driver calls the driver of the aforementioned vehicle a "ditz" because of the sign being right there.
Reddit user mcain shared the footage to the Vancouver Reddit page a few days ago and the video has been up-voted over 500 times. The caption simply reads: "another clueless Vancouver driver. Are the cones and signs not enough?"
While some commenters felt that people were being too harsh on the driver, a number of people point out that the driver did pass half a block of cones - as well as a sign. Further, a couple of people noted that safe drivers would snap out of autopilot when, "the route changes." In other words, it is up to the driver to stay alert and not zone out.
