Calling all canine aficionados!

Hosted by The Day of the Dog, Pet-A-Palooza Vancouver is the west coast's largest pet festival and offers a day of fun for dogs and their people.

According to the most recent census data, one in eight Vancouverites owns (at least) one dog. As such, this pup-lovin' city is the ideal place for the dog-friendly festival, which will host over 70 of the leading pet related exhibitors.

Some of the festival's most popular events are the bull races (both French and English bulldog races, that is), as well as popular wiener dog races. There's also an adorable puppy stampede.

Attendees may also enjoy adorable photo booths, yoga with puppies, and trick-or-treating with your dogs. There's even a treat tasting station.

The fun takes place on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Yaletown.
