This year there are more sunflower fields to frolic in than ever before, with three festivals currently on in B.C.

This year there are more sunflower fields to frolic in than ever before, with three festivals currently on in B.C.

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by one of the bloomin' beautiful festivals — Chilliwack Sunflower Festival, Maan Farms Sunflower Festival and Richmond Sunflower Festival — don’t worry you still have some time up your sleeve.

Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

At Chilliwack’s second annual Sunflower festival there are 35 different sunflower varieties to enjoy and six acres of giant Mammoth sunflowers, that can reach heights of more than 12 feet, to walk through.

This year, there’s also a three-acre field of 54 varieties of Dahlias. The festival also features a number of food trucks and train rides for the kids to enjoy.

It's open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends — it also has sunrise openings on select days.

You can even bring your four-legged best friend along, but just make sure you keep them away from the Hops fields, which can be toxic to animals. Vancouverites have been taking a lot of cute photos of their dogs among the sunflowers.

The festival ends Sep. 15.

Richmond Sunflower Festival

In Richmond, visitors can enjoy more than 20 different types of sunflowers and dahlias spread throughout eight acres of land at Richmond Country Farms. The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The festival ends Sep. 15.

Maan Farms Sunflower Festival

As well as a chance to frolic in the sunflower fields — some reaching six feet high — at Maan Farm’s first ever sunflower festival, visitors can also sip wine, pick strawberries and play with goats. The festival is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.

Plus, on Aug. 29, the farm is hosting a special Sunflower Goat Yoga event.

The festival ends Sep. 9.

All three fields have incredible backdrops and Instagram worthy photo opportunities. They also offer a chance to pick your own flowers to take home.

So put on your Sunday best and go check them out, before it's too late.
