Investigators are hoping the public can help find 45-year-old Romano Martodihardjo, who is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for firearms offences and possession of stolen property. He has been wanted since April 2018.

The charges stem from Taskforce Tournique, which was formed by Vancouver Police Department in March 2017 in response to increasing gang violence in the region and includes officers from the provincial Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-BC), the RCMP, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team and other municipal police departments. It’s targeted four major violent crime groups in the Lower Mainland.

The taskforce has included several joint enforcement projects that have resulted in a total of 209 charges against 38 individuals, as well as the seizure of more than 170 firearms, more than 10 kilograms of fentanyl, 40 kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine, and more than $2 million in cash, jewelry and high-end vehicles.

Martodihardjo is described as dark skinned with short brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’5” tall and weighs 170 pounds.

Police say he may have ties to Saskatoon, Sask. but is originally from Alberta.

Anyone who sees Romano Martodihardjo, or knows about his whereabouts, should call 911 immediately and not approach him. Tips can be shared by calling investigators at 604-717-2596, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
