Located in the old Edward Hotel almost directly across from the historic Gastown Steam Clock, Water St. Cafe has been treating diners to elegant meals, cocktails and service for over 31 years. Now two years into their operations under new management, the iconic Vancouver eatery has launched a brand new location…

… and it’s located on the 2nd floor.

The 2nd Floor At the Water St. Café will serve as a live music venue, private event space and expanded dining room atop their distinguished home at 300 Water St. To celebrate their new addition, The 2nd Floor At the Water St. Café will host live music every single day of the week, with sets at 7:00pm and 10:00pm, throughout the month of October.

The live music series, which is appropriately titled 31 Days of Music will feature everything from jazz standards to classic soul music and indie pop, all performed live by independent artists from throughout Vancouver. You can view this month’s full music schedule HERE. Space is limited, so be sure to let the staff know you’d like to dine on the 2nd floor when making reservations.

To celebrate their 31 Days of Music feature,  The 2nd Floor At the Water St. Café will also host a Great Gatsby themed live Clue game at their Halloween Gala. It’s the perfect locale for such a “glitzy” event, as The 2nd Floor At the Water St. Café decor is inspired by the building’s distinct century-old aesthetic.

Dress up in your best flapper dress or top hat and join your friends for an epic murder mystery. Tickets include 1 welcome drink, plus canapes, a pasta station and a dessert bar. Partial proceeds will be donated to the Big Brothers of Vancouver.

Speaking of food, the menu at The 2nd Floor At the Water St. Café will mimic the original downstairs space, offering diners Italian and Meditarrenaean specialties, including a full pasta menu and charcuterie, in addition to an elevated approach to West Coast fare, including delicate seafood preparations and hearty crowd pleasers such as Chef Alan’s Fish & Chips.
