A video has surfaced of a disturbing encounter between a woman and staff at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at Kingsway and McMurray in Burnaby.
Posted by Allen Tseng on Facebook on Oct. 28, the video already has over 61,000 views. The video begins with a woman yelling at staff who are behind the counter, and there is a school-aged child by her side throughout the encounter.
At the beginning of the footage, the woman demands that the staff speak English to her. She then tells them to shut up, that they are rude, and adds that they should, "Speak English in Canada."
During the encounter the woman also leans onto the counter and aggressively points and gestures toward the staff.

"You want a manager to talk to me, you bring your manager here," she yells. "If you wanna talk to me you bring your manager here, you idiot."
"What the hell is going on? Do you start fights with all your [expletive] people... Shut up and get out of here, you idiots."
The video ends with the woman swearing and appearing to walk away. However, the footage does not show her leaving the store.
In the Facebook post, Tseng notes that, "I just want to put this lady on blast for being extremely rude and racist. And hopefully show her there's consequences to this type of behaviour."
"It's sad to see this sort of racism still in 2019 and in Greater Vancouver, BC, and Canada."
