After a long period of renovation, a Lonsdale Quay popular favourite, Bowen Island Pizza Company, has reopened in an expanded space on the main level of the market at the far south end.

The new operation, with a contemporary hardwood finish and clean, long white countertop design, appears to be much better optimized for higher volume output.

The menu has expanded to include 20 pizza options from plant-based to premium meat topped, and as I passed by for a quick look on a recent Friday, there appeared to be a significant number of staff at the ready.

The Bowen Island Pizza Company, whose motto is "thin crust pizza, west coast love," offers crowd-pleasing favourite pizzas, including with toppings like Pear & Brie, on dough made from local organic flour. They now have five fully plant-based pizzas on offer, and can do a gluten-free personal-size pizza.

First opened in the spring of 2015, Bowen Island Pizza was closed for about four months this summer and fall in order to facilitate the renovation and the re-brand.

You'll find them on the lower level of the Lonsdale Quay market, and they are typically open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; check the market's schedule for any changes to hours.
