All vehicles with B.C. veteran licence plates will get to park for free across Vancouver from Nov. 4 to Nov. 11 to mark Veterans’ Week.

The free parking applies to:

  •  City of Vancouver parking meters

  •  EasyPark parkades
  •  Surface lots
  •  Park Board-operated parking facilities, including Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, the Vancouver Aquatic Centre and all Vancouver community centres.

“The city offers free parking to recognize the service and dedication of Canadian military personnel to our country,” the city said in a news release. “The initiative also helps veterans in their work distributing poppies across Vancouver as it provides them with easier access to the sites that they deliver to.”

Remembrance Day services will take place across Vancouver on Nov. 11, with the annual Remembrance Day ceremony and parade at the Victory Square Cenotaph beginning at 10 a.m.
