BIG NEWS: The Chinatown Otter is back!

The critter first burst onto the scene in 2018 when they ate a bunch of koi out of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden's pond, including a 50-year-old fish named Madonna.

The fish were temporarily moved out of the pond and into the Vancouver Aquarium, and the city went into unofficial Otter Watch.

The otter eluded capture for weeks and the fish were welcomed back into the pond a few months later when everyone thought the coast was clear.

However just yesterday - a full year after their original appearance - the otter came back to feast on more fish!

As of right now they're still on the lam, and the Park Board sent out this photo below.

To celebrate this furry icon we're releasing this t-shirt which we're offering for $25.

Portions of the proceeds of each sale will be donated to the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden to help replace the koi the little critter ate.

[UPDATE: THE GARDEN IS NOT ACCEPTING OTTER AND KOI RELATED DONATIONS, SO WE'RE SYMBOLICALLY ADOPTING SOME OTTERS INSTEAD]

All of our t-shirts are proudly printed in and shipped from East Vancouver.

We now offer a selection of 25 designs, and they make great gifts.

If you'd like to avoid shipping costs choose the FREE pick-up option when you place your order, and you'll be able to pick it up from a location that's one block away from the East Van cross on Clark Drive.
