If you’re looking for an international escape from Vancouver this winter on the cheap, there aren’t many options available. Since a great deal of people book their holidays well in advance, the pickings are somewhat slim.

The outbound flight departs Vancouver on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 6 a.m. and has one stopover in Toronto. On the way back, the return flight departs Varadero on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 10:15 p.m.
The total cost for two people is $1598 CAD including all taxes and fees, which breaks down to a total of $799 CAD including tax per person.
Guests will stay at the Gran Caribe Puntarena Playa Caleta, which is located 25 mintues from the Varadero airport and is an ideal family accommodation. The resort offers two swimming pools, two buffets, four a la carte featuring Asian, International, Creole and Italian cuisine, and seven bars. It also offers live entertainment every night of the week as well as non-motorized water sports including pedal boats, catamarans, windsurfing.
