Earlier today we published THIS opinion piece about Don Cherry's anti-immigrant rant on last night's episode of Hockey Night in Canada.

We also published THIS piece from the Canadian Press about Sportsnet apologizing for it.

Each and every day there's a new thing for the internet to be outraged about, and often times it's fairly transparent that it's one political opinion versus the next.

However the revulsion for Cherry's latest statement goes beyond the loud roar of a few really angry citizens. It bleeds beyond party lines. It has been condemned by not just "the internet", but noteworthy people and organizations - some who rarely speak out about stuff like this.

Below are 19 of them.

**********

The NHL.

Hockey Canada.

Ron MacLean.

The humourists of Limericking.

Christy Clark's former press secretary Stephen Smart.

The CBC's Rosemary Barton.

Peter Mansbridge.

Toronto Sun Columnist Steve Simmons.

Arlene Dickinson.

John Matisz.

Professor Bessma Momani.

Stu Cowan.

Don Braid.

Reverend Michael Coren.

Keith Olbermann.

Jagmeet Singh.

Bob Rae.

Mark Critch.

And of course Sportsnet.

Who were then dunked on by The Beaverton.
