Rainbow bagels, rainbow grilled cheese, unicorn rainbow poutine...what food won't we try in multi-colour format? Now we can add rainbow soup dumplings to the list in Vancouver.

Rainbow bagels, rainbow grilled cheese, unicorn rainbow poutine...what food won't we try in multi-colour format? Now we can add rainbow soup dumplings to the list in Vancouver, thanks to the just-opened Jingle Bao.

The new bao-focused restaurant is in its soft open phase in their digs at 774 Denman Street in the space previously occupied by Rad.

The whole idea behind Jingle Bao, says its operators, is as follows: "We would like the world to share the great experience of pork bun, a simple pleasure that we enjoyed for few thousand years beyond anyone’s imagination."

The hand-formed dumplings come in an array of flavours, including Spicy Pork and Cabbage, Pork Shrimp Suimai, Traditional Pork Soup Dumplings, Crystal Shrimp Hargow, and more.

Jingle Bao also makes a giant rainbow soup pork dumpling for $18.95.

In addition to the rainbow bao, Jingle Bao has a number of appetizers and small plates (things like wontons, spring rolls, and more) as well as a number of noodle dishes. They also have a few combo platters to choose from, and an array of sweet drinks.

They are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
