It’s back!

Downtown Vancouver’s only free winter festival is expected to draw thousands of locals looking to celebrate another year of holiday cheer.

Yaletown BIA’s CandyTown will transform Mainland, Hamilton and Davie streets into an absolute winter wonderland, complete with horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, pop-up vendors, astounding ice sculptures and the all-new “Winter Is Coming” area.

Expect twinkling lights, candy cane adorned lamp poles and costumed characters parading down the street as holiday shoppers get a headstart on seasonal gift buying. Yaletown shops will be open alongside the “All I Want For Christmas” street market, featuring local merchants, unique gifts and holiday treats.

Every year, CandyTown welcomes an estimated 15,000 people to Yaletown, each eager to shop, hop and participate in some good ol’ fashioned holiday fun. Returning favourites to this year’s CandyTown include photos with Santa and The Ice Queen, plus new features like the “sleigh-ing” of the winter dragon; an amazing swordplay demonstration by Academie Duello.
