An SUV was recorded on dashcam footage this week driving through a busy Vancouver crosswalk and then onto a sidewalk.

The video begins with the driver's perspective down University Blvd in the UBC area. As the driver approaches Wesbrook Mall, a white SUV is seen going in the same direction that they are going, but in the wrong lane on the other side of the median.

Following this, the SUV makes a left turn at the end of a lane through a crosswalk. There are numerous people in the crosswalk, and while the vehicle doesn't hit anyone, a couple of people on the curb are very close. Last, the SUV turns onto the sidewalk and drives down it and out of the footage.

Last week, dashcam video surfaced of a near miss at a Metro Vancouver intersection that could have resulted in serious injuries. The footage begins by showing the driver’s perspective of River Road in Richmond. As the driver makes their way down the street, they slow to a stop at the intersection of Cambie Road.
