Yes, there will be Turducken sandwiches in Vancouver this Christmas season

The Turducken sandwich is a popular draw each December at Meat & Bread.

It’s hard to say what’s more legendary: Meat & Bread’s limited edition holiday-time Turducken sandwich, or the lineups it causes at their Vancouver shops.

The seasonal sammy we love to queue up for is indeed making a return this month as Christmas approaches, but for 2019, Meat & Bread has implemented a delicious twist.

The Turducken sandwich will be available for four days only starting Weds., Dec. 18, but there will be a different version of it at each of Meat & Bread’s four Vancouver locations – including their latest, which opened up late this summer on West Broadway near VGH.

Of course, the basis of each Turducken is that over the top blend of turkey, duck, and chicken. From there, things get creative at each shop. Here’s what you’ll find at each Meat & Bread location in Vancouver:

1033 W Pender St

The Harvest Turducken: brown butter yam puree, stuffing crumble, Turducken gravy and a brussel sprout slaw

370 Cambie St

Turducken Po Boy: A cajun brined Turducken galantine, topped with andouille and cornbread duck stuffing and a holy-trinity coleslaw.

625 Robson St

Waldorf Turducken: Inspired by the famous Waldorf salad the slaw on this sandwich will feature apple, fennel, grapes & raisins. Topped with Turducken gravy, cranberry sauce and candied walnuts.

796 West Broadway
Original Turducken: This favourite has a cranberry apple mostarda, pumpkin seed crumble, turkey gravy & radicchio red cabbage slaw.

Also, if you happen to be in Abbotsford, Calgary, or even Seattle between Dec. 18-21, they’ll have Turducken, too.

Each day, the Turducken sandwich will be available at the beginning of the day for $14, while supplies last.
