Vancouver’s entry in the ‘Tilda Swinton as libraries’ trend is spot on (PHOTOS)

The hilarious "Tilda Swinton as libraries" trend was started by a cartoonist's recent Twitter thread.

The Vancouver Public Library recently joined in on a relatively niche but hilarious social media trend: Tilda Swinton as libraries.

It all started earlier this week as a Twitter thread created by writer and cartoonist Jude Atwood. In Atwood’s thread he compares the actresses' many outfits to library architecture around the world.

In the days following many others made their own additions of any outfit/library combinations Atwood missed – it was only a matter of time before the VPL’s iconic Fibonaccian design was matched with a Swinton fit.

“Tilda Swinton as the gorgeous Vancouver Public Library (@VPL),” wrote one Twitter user comparing the gown Swinton wore to the 2019 Marrakech International Film Festival.
