Vancouver Is Awesome and Postmark Brewing are proud to announce our Awesome Session Ale collaboration brew!

A refreshing, dry hopped Northwest Session Ale that uses bravo, chinook, centennial and cascade hops, it’s a celebration of this great province of ours! It was created for everyone in BC to enjoy with friends – in our province and beyond.

Now available in 650ml bombers, for growler fills and on tap at Postmark at 55 Dunlevy in Railtown.

Also available on tap at Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island and in bombers at select beer stores throughout the Lower Mainland.

Over the past few months our editor-in-chief, Bob Kronbauer, has been working closely with Postmark’s Craig Noble (below) and Steve Thorp to bring this ale to life. The first stage was to figure out the perfect recipe.

Next we recruited the branding agency St. Bernadine in Chinatown to come up with the identity and packaging. They created a unique design that we feel perfectly encapsulates and celebrates BC and its awesomeness. Below is the print-ready artwork that they sent off to Associated Labels, the local company that printed the labels for our 650ml bottles. awesome-ale-label Brewmaster Craig put our editor to work, and they both rolled up their sleeves for the brewing process. Bob helped in every stage of it over the span of a few weeks, from grain-in to mashing then grain-out (pictured below)… all the way to the bottling line.

Here’s a video of the bottling process, in 10 seconds.

The end result is a wonderfully drinkable craft beer, lovingly made in Vancouver.

If you get your hands on some tag it with the hashtag #awesomebrewing on Instagram and you’ll be entered to win FREE BEER. Cheers!
