A mule deer buck recently got into the festive spirit and was caught tangled in some Christmas lights in Invermere.
BC Conservation Officers were able to sedate and safely remove the festive headwear and set him free.
"It’s not uncommon for deer to get tangled up in netting, fencing or other objects," CO's wrote on Facebook.
"To help avoid such seasonal snafus, please hang your lights high."
If you see a wild animal in distress, call the RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277.
Oh Deer! It wasn’t all merry and bright for this mule deer buck in #Invermere, which found itself caught up in Christmas lights. But don't worry, CO’s were able to safely sedate the animal and free it of its festive headwear.
