Squamish RCMP officers are seeking witnesses and information about a mid-September Highway 99 crash.
Police say the collision happened on Sept. 15, at about noon near Murrin Provincial Park, on the Sea to Sky Highway.
The collision involved two cars hitting head-on and a grey dump truck with a trailer.
According to an RCMP news release, the dump truck continued driving after the two cars collided.
"Near where three traffic lanes turn into two, the driver of a pickup truck travelling northbound on the inside lane was forced into oncoming traffic due to a dump truck overtaking his lane. As a result, the pickup driver collided head-on with the driver of a third car that was travelling in the southbound lane," the release states.
Cpl. Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky Media Relations officer, said Mounties want to talk to the dump truck driver.
“We’re asking for help to identify this driver so we can follow up with them and complete our work," she said in the release.
The highway was closed for a short time after the crash as first responders tended to the injured, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries — and while an initial investigation was done.
