An employee at a Real Canadian Superstore in Vancouver has tested positive for COVID-19.

Loblaw Companies Limited says an employee working at the Superstore located at 350 SE Marine Drive tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 on Oct. 11.

The last day the team member worked was on October 7.

Loblaw regularly updates its COVID-19 page with all positive COVID-19 cases in its stores, by province, in the last 15 days. However, it will not release any personal information about employees.

"Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores. In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores," writes Loblaw.

Last week, Loblaw announced that an employee at a Real Canadian Superstore in Surrey had tested positive for COVID-19.

In August, Loblaw made face masks mandatory at all Real Canadian Superstore and No Frills locations across B.C.
