A man who is well known to police showed up at a B.C. hospital this week with a gunshot wound.

Surrey RCMP is investigating after the man was allegedly dropped off at a local hospital around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old man had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are reaching out to the public, asking anyone who might have heard or seen a shooting to contact them.

"Investigators are working to ascertain details as to what happened as well as to confirm the location of where the shooting occurred,” says Cpl. Vanessa Munn.

Police have a possible scene identified, but it has not been confirmed as further investigation is required.
