Kelowna RCMP need your help to locate a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Aug. 9.

Reina Hodgins went missing just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday, from her residence.

Facebook posts by family appear to show the girl with a man in the lobby of a Kelowna hotel, Sunday night.

Police believe Hodgins is in the Kelowna area and may be in the company of an adult male. Police are concerned for Reina’s well-being and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for so long.

Hodgins is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 14 years old
  • 5 ft 4 in (163 cm)
  • slim build
  • dark brown shoulder length hair
  • Last seen wearing pink shorts, dark shirt and red frame glasses carrying a black and white polka dot backpack but is presumed to have changed to a grey t-shirt and black bicycle shorts

Hodgins may also be riding a burgundy coloured mountain bicycle.

Kelowna RCMP tell Castanet they are, "actively investigating and working closely with the family to locate Reina and confirm her well-being."

"I can confirm we are reviewing video surveillance obtained during the course of our investigation that shows Reina in the company of an adult male, who remains unidentified at this time. We appeal to anyone who may have seen Reina or who may to have information to contact the Kelowna RCMP as soon as possible at 250-762-3300," said RCMP Cst. Solana Pare.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Reina is urged to contact their local police, Kelown RCMP, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
