More than $25K in campfire ban tickets issued over long weekend

Patrols will continue throughout the summer, says COS.

"The regions with the most tickets were the #SouthCoast and #Kootenays," the post reads. "Patrols will continue throughout the summer."

The provincewide campfire ban came into effect June 30. The ban covers Category 2 (backyard and industrial burning) and Category 3 (industrial and resource management burning) open fires.
