Two more people with COVID-19 flew on Kelowna flights in April

The BC CDC recommends those who may have been exposed to the infected person self monitor for 14 days after the flight, and isolate if they develop symptoms.

Two more domestic Kelowna flights from earlier this month had passengers with COVID-19.

The BC Centre for Disease Control recently updated their list of flights where a passenger was later confirmed to have the virus.

On April 3, WestJet flight 3343 flew from Calgary into Kelowna with a person who later tested positive for COVID-19, while three days later, WestJet flight 3325 flew from Kelowna to Vancouver with an infected passenger.

The BC CDC recommends those who may have been exposed to the infected person self monitor for 14 days after the flight, and isolate if they develop symptoms.

While the 14-day self-monitoring period for the April 3 flight is now over, the second flight's 14-day period ends Monday.

Several other Kelowna flights have had infected passengers through March.

Effective Monday, travellers in Canada will be required to wear masks at airports and while flying, when directed by airline employees. Non-essential travel is still strongly discouraged by federal and provincial governments.
